9. REPORTS <br />(a) <br />Receive report of La Porte Development Corporation Board Councilmember Engelken <br />Councilmember Clausen reported the La Porte Development Corporation Board discussed <br />Workforce Development Programs, approved an incentive grant to Rob Johnson Interests for a new <br />retail development, and the next meeting is scheduled for April 14, 2014. <br />(b) <br />Receive Delinquent Tax Report T. Leach <br />Assistant City Manager Traci Leach provided the Delinquent Tax Report. Council directed staff to <br /> <br />place future Delinquent Tax Reports on agendas once a quarter . <br />10. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />(a) <br />Receive report from City Manager <br /> City Council Meeting, Monday, April 14, 2014 <br /> Fiscal Affairs Committee Meeting, Monday, April 28, 2014 <br /> City Council Meeting, Monday, April 28, 2014 <br /> Recognition Councilmember Dottie Kaminski Finalist for Public Official of the Year <br />City Manager Corby Alexander honored and congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a <br />finalist for Public Official of the Year. Councilmember Kaminski was also presented with flowers. <br /> <br />11. COUNCIL COMMENTS <br /> regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br />members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information <br /> <br />or existing policies Councilmembers Clausen, Martin, Moser, Kaminski, Zemanek, Leonard, <br />Engelken, Mosteit and Mayor Rigby. <br />Councilmember Moser congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a finalist for Public Official of <br />the Year; Councilmember Kaminski commented it was an honor to be a finalist for Public Official of the <br />Year and advised everyone of the Food Drive to be held on the Northside this coming Saturday; <br />Councilmember Leonard congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a finalist for Public Official <br />of the Year and thanked the Red Suspenders Senior Group for the support throughout the years; <br />Councilmember Mosteit congratulated the Police Department and the Red Suspenders Senior Group <br />for receiving proclamations, congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a finalist for Public <br />Official of the Year, and congratulated Councilmembers Clausen and Kaminski for being unopposed <br />and declared re-elected; Councilmember Clausen congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a <br />finalist for Public Official of the Year; thanked the Red Suspenders Senior Group and congratulated <br />Emergency Management Coordinator Jeff Suggs for receiving his certification as a Certified Emergency <br />Manager; Councilmember Martin congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a finalist for Public <br />Official of the Year, thanked Finance Director Michael Dolby and the Finance Department for saving the <br />City a significant amount of money and commented the Senior Center has a great program and Mayor <br />Rigby congratulated Councilmember Kaminski for being a finalist for Public Official of the Year, thanked <br />the dispatchers for doing such wonderful jobs, thanked the Red Suspenders Senior Group for starting <br />th <br />the program eight years ago, commented the Battleship 100 Anniversary was a very touching event. <br />12.
