The Texas Election Code requires the terms of the <br />joint election to be set out in a joint election agreement. <br />For Council consideration is an Interlocal Agreement for Joint Elections, which shall be entered <br />into by the three entities, City of La Porte, La Porte Independent School District and San Jacinto <br />College, for the purpose of establishing the procedures, division of responsibilities, and sharing of <br />costs for elections held by the parties and taking place on the May uniform election date, and any <br />runoff elections stemming from the May uniform election date. <br />Exhibit A to the agreement outlines the polling locations for early voting and Election Day. City <br />Hall and the Instructional Technology Center are the polling places for all precincts for early <br />voting. Precincts 1-6 will vote at one of these locations on Election Day. Precinct 7 votes at <br />College Park Elementary for LPISD and San Jacinto College only.
