Senior Systems Administrator Ruston Royall presented a summary and update on the successes of <br />the ONE Solution software conversion and the transition under contract with SunGard Public <br />Sector, Inc. <br />8. REPORTS <br />(a) Receive report of the June 12, 2017 Fiscal Affairs Committee Meeting Councilmember <br />Engelken <br />Councilmember Engelken provided a report of the Fiscal Affairs Committee meeting held prior to <br />the City Council meeting. <br />(b) Receive report of the June 12, 2017 La Porte Development Corporation Board Meeting <br />Councilmember Engelken <br />Councilmember Engelken provided a report of the La Porte Development Corporation Board <br />meeting held prior to the City Council meeting. <br />Councilmember Zemanek went back to the discussion of ONE Solution and reminded Council that <br />a motion had been made at a past council meeting to cancel the contract within 90 days. Assistant <br />City Attorney Clark Askins advised the go live date was within the 90-day cure period. <br />9. ADMINISTRATIVE REPORTS <br />City Manager Corby Alexander thanked Assistant City Manager Traci Leach for covering for him <br />while he was in court this afternoon which made him a little late for the meeting, for which he <br />apologized. <br /> <br />10. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community <br />members, city employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual <br />information. <br /> Councilmember Earp requested a future update from the city manager on the zigzag on L Street <br />and the lawsuit. <br /> Councilmember Ojeda informed she attended the Flicks at Five Points, and stated the event is well <br />received; andshe thanked the Parks Department, <br />Councilmember J. Martin asked for an update on the Town Center Project. Mr. Alexander reported <br />David Miles will be available for an update for the Town Center Project at the June 26, 2017, <br />Council meeting. <br />Councilmember K. Martin reminded everyone of the many La Porte Civic Club Juneteenth <br />Celebrations this coming weekend. <br />Councilmember Leonard requested City Manager Corby Alexander to contact the citizens in the <br />Spenwick area in regards to the drainage issues. <br />Mayor Rigby reported he attended the Hurricane Charlie Exercise Drill at the La Porte Emergency <br />Operations Center, and stated it went very well.He said it is good to have these drills to prepare <br />those who work in the EOC during a disaster. <br /> <br />Page 3 of 4 <br />June 12, 2017,Council Meeting Minutes <br /> <br />
