EmployeeoftheQuarter <br />nd <br />2Quarter2017 <br />JennyLynnΑMarketingandSpecialEventsSpecialist <br />JennyLynnjoinedtheCityofLaPorteteaminDecemberof2016andimmediatelyledthe <br />th <br />planningeffortsforthe/źƷǤ͸ƭ125AnniversaryCelebration.Thecelebrationwasahuge <br />undertakingconsistingofeighteventsΛYźķ͸ƭRodeo;ConcertfeaturingCodyJohnson;DinnerGala <br />featuringMamboJazzKings;5KFamilyFunRun;Parade;Airplane&CarShow;Concertfeaturing <br />ClayWalkerandaaƚƷŷĻƩ͸ƭDayGospelBrunch)overthecourseoffourdays.Jennyhad <br />approximately5monthstogetacclimatedwiththe/źƷǤ͸ƭprocesses;CityStaff;andcommittee <br />th <br />membersofthe125AnniversaryCelebrationinordertobringtolifeaseriesofevents <br />th <br />commemoratingthesignificantcommunitymilestone.The125AnniversaryCelebrationwasa <br />rousingsuccessthatwillberememberedforyearstocome. <br />Jennyhadagreatteamofstaffandvolunteersbehindher,butasonenominatorstated, <br />ͻ{ƚƒĻƚƓĻneededtobethecaptainoftheshipandthatwasWĻƓƓǤ͵ͼWĻƓƓǤ͸ƭcommitmenttothis <br />projectexemplifiedhighlevelplanningandcoordinationincludingtheselectionandorderingof <br />suppliesforeachoftheevents.Throwinmanycriticalbehindthescenestaskssuchassoliciting <br />sponsors;creatingmarketingmaterials;developingsafety,staffingandvolunteerplans,allwhile <br />stayingwithinbudgetandyoustarttoseethescopeandscaleoftheprojectthatJenny <br />helmingtoanyone,butallthree <br />successfullyled.Thistypeofworkloadwouldbeoverw <br />nominationsravedofWĻƓƓǤ͸ƭpositiveattitude,grace,anddeterminationtoseethisevent <br />through. <br />Afterleadingateamtosuchanaccomplishment,Jennyhasquicklyturnedherattentiontofuture <br />eventsandtheplanningofCƚǒƓķĻƩ͸ƭDayinAugust. <br />th <br />Inrecognitionofleadership,workeffortsonthe125AnniversaryCelebrationeventsand <br />continuedcommitmenttomakingmemoriesandimprovingthequalityoflifeforLaPorte <br />residents,pleasejoinmeincongratulatingJennyLynnasourEmployeeoftheSecondQuarter <br />2017. <br /> <br />
