CALL TO ORDER — Mavor Pro-Tem Bentlev called the meetina to order at 3:00 o.m. <br />2. CITIZEN COMMENT (Generally limited to five minutes per person; in accordance with state law, the time may be <br />reduced if there is a high number of speakers or other considerations.) <br />Chuck Rosa spoke in opposition to the extension of the disaster declaration and any postponement of the May 2, 2020, <br />election. <br />3. STATUTORY AGENDA <br />(a) Presentation, discussion, and possible action to approve the extension of the March 13, 2020 Disaster <br />Declaration for the City of La Porte, Texas, resulting from COVID-19 (novel coronavirus). [Corby Alexander, <br />City Manager] <br />Councilperson Gillett moved to approve the Extension of Disaster Declaration rextending the disaster declarationl <br />issued by the Mavor on March 13, 2020, amended to continue until April 3, 2020, at midnight, unless renewed by <br />the City Council, the motion was adopted, 6-0. <br />4. COUNCIL COMMENTS regarding matters appearing on the agenda; recognition of community members, city <br />employees, and upcoming events; inquiry of staff regarding specific factual information or existing policies. <br />There was no comment. <br />ADJOURN — Without obiection.
