Mr. Mayo gave a presentation on condition and next steps in order to proceed.Without objection, <br />the Council directed staff to move forward with planning for a new facility and issuance of $13.5 <br />M in certificates of obligation. <br /> <br />(e) Citywide Signage Project. \[Jason Weeks, Assistant City Manager, and Kristin Gauthier, <br />Emergency Management Coordinator\] <br /> <br />Mr. Weeks provided a presentation. The Council offered no objection to proceeding. <br /> <br />(f) Purchase and implementation on the 700/800 MHz mobile and handheld radio units for La <br />Porte EMS. \[Lisa Camp, EMS Chief\] <br /> <br />Chief Camp provided a presentation. The Council offered no objection to proceeding. <br /> <br />(g) Provide staff direction on the revised Fire Training Center liquefied petroleum gas <br />firefighting props project and new components to the FTC. \[Carl Holley, Fire Chief\] <br /> <br />Chief Holley provided a presentation. The Council offered no objection to proceeding. <br /> <br />(h) Provide staff direction on how to move forward with the La Porte Police Department <br />Emergency Services CAD/RMS system. \[Steve Deardorff, Police Chief\] <br /> <br />Chief Daeumer provided a presentation. The Council offered no objection to proceeding. <br />(i) Provide feedback and direction to staff on how to move forward with upgrading police <br />body cameras, mobile video equipment and interview room recording systems. \[Steve <br />Deardorff, Chief of Police\] <br /> <br />Chief Ditrich provided a presentation. The Council offered no objection to proceeding, with several <br />members voicing support for Option 1. <br /> <br />Mark Follis asked and was given permission to provide a public comment at this time and shared <br />his optimism about upgrades for the Main Street area. <br /> <br />(j) Provide staff direction on possible policy guidelines or other action regarding Summer <br />by Mayor Rigby) \[Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works\] <br /> <br />Mr. Mayo offered a presentation. Without objection, the Council indicated the item would be <br />postponed until a draft policy could be presented. <br />(k) Addition of a full-time Equipment Operator l position for the Solid Waste Division of the <br />Public Works Department. \[Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works\] <br /> <br />Mr. Mayo shared information on the position. The Council offered no objection to proceeding. <br />(l) Phase ll of the S. Broadway Trail Lighting from Wharton Weems to Fairmont Parkway. <br />(Requested by Mayor Rigby) \[Roz Epting, Director of Parks & Recreation\] <br /> <br />Roz Epting presented the proposal.
