FEMA or the State will work with the community to help <br />them bring their program into compliance with NFIP requirements. <br /> <br />FEMA initiated a CAV to the City of La Porte in 2020 that assessed substantial <br />damage determinations following Hurricane Harvey in 2017. During the CAV, FEMA <br />identified program deficiencies and opportunities for improvement that resulted in two <br />(2) findings and corrective actions. The corrective actions included the development of <br />SFHA. Staff have taken the necessary steps to comply with the corrective actions and <br />FEMA is ready to close the CAV. <br /> <br />One of the final requirements to complete the CAV is City a <br />resolution that acknowledges the value of the corrective actions taken and affirms the <br />participation in the CRS program.
