Mr. Mayo said the Flood Control District has designed the outfall in Brookglen and is <br />seeking an easement for the outfall pipe from the City of La Porte which is now before <br />the Committee for review. <br />Member Engelken asked for consideration of temporary parking on an adjacent street <br />during the project and asked that Flood Control be asked to mow its properties again. <br />Member Encelken moved to accept staffs recommendation to approve the easement <br />document Member Williams seconded the motiorc the motion was adopted. 3-0. <br />6. CURRENT DRAINAGE PROJECT UPDATE - Presentation, discussion, and <br />possible action regarding the status of current drainage projects. [Ray Mayo, <br />Director of Public Works] <br />Regarding Bayside Terrace, Mr. Appel said the water line was being tested and <br />mentioned other items being wrapped up. He said that contractually there were about <br />two months left on the project to reach substantial completion. Chair Martin expressed <br />his appreciation for Mr. Appel meeting with the residents recently. <br />Mr. Mayo said the contract for Brookglen was a little bit behind schedule (8% instead <br />of 12%). He also said the Northside Neighborhood Project was expected to be <br />substantially complete by the end of March. He also said there would not be an <br />expected start date for the F101 project until design was complete but that he believed <br />construction could start within a year. <br />7. ADDITIONAL DRAINAGE CONCERNS - Presentation, discussion, and possible <br />action to provide administrative staff of the City with direction, if necessary, <br />regarding additional drainage concerns. [Ray Mayo, Director of Public Works] <br />Member Williams asked for attention from Public Works to some ditches in <br />Battleground Estates, with some blocked and/or collapsed culverts, particularly at <br />intersections. She said there was also an Exxon pipeline on P Street that Harris <br />County needed to give attention to. Mr. Mayo was hopeful some resolution was soon <br />to come. <br />8. SET NEXT MEETING - Chair Martin said the next meeting would be April 14 <br />9. COMMITTEE COMMENT - There were no comments. <br />
