Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting <br />November 15, 2018 <br />SCUP 18-91000014 <br />Notification Requirements: <br />Staff finds that the public hearing notification requirements outlined in Section 106-171 <br />were performed in accordance with code provisions, including the following: notice in a <br />newspaper of general circulation at least 15 days prior to the hearing; written notice <br />mailed to owners of real property within 200 feet of the site within 10 days of the <br />hearing and in this case notice was sent to all property owners and residents within the <br />rezoning area; 4 signs were posted in the area of the rezoning within 15 days of the <br />hearing. In accordance with state law, notice of the public hearing was also posted at <br />City Hall <br />Analysis: <br />There are a number of different considerations staff evaluated during the review of this <br /> <br />1.Land Use. The proposed hotel use is not an ideal use for this section of the city. <br />The site is located within 1500 feet of at least 6 exiting hotel/motel uses, and <br />within 2200 feet of 10 exiting or approved hotel/motels. <br />thth <br />2.Access.
