Executive Session There are occasions when an itiem requires additional deliberation by Council prior to taking action or to provide Staff with specific guidance (see Section 1-224 of Ordinance 1435). An Executive Session of the Council is scheduled in conjunction with the regular meeting and is listed on the meeting agenda as such to allow in-depth discussion of the topic. Topics discussed in Executive Session are to remain confidenfia/ and are not for public disclosure. For your infom~ation, the following sections of the Open Meetings Law show examples of the types of topics covered in an Executive Session.
