This <br />agreement stipulates capital expensereimbursement aspectsregarding electronic voting <br />equipment, together with maintenance and software updates, which the City purchased on behalf <br />of the three entities for $88,908.00. <br />LPISD will reimburse 40 percent of thiscost over a two-year period beginning January 2012, <br />with an annual payment of $17,781.60.Finance is in the process of invoicing LPISD. The <br />LPISD Board has approved this Interlocal Agreement, and a copy of the executed Agreement is <br />in the City Secretary’s office. <br />San Jacinto CollegeDistrict will reimburse 20 percent of this cost over a two-year period <br />beginning January 2012, with an annual payment of $8,890.00. The District’s Board will <br />consider the Interlocal Agreement at their February 6 meeting and will forward an executed copy <br />of the Agreement to the City Secretary’s office. Finance will invoice the District. <br />Additionally, this Agreement stipulates election duties and responsibilities for each entity such as <br />filings, postings, publications and election administration duties. <br />This Agreement is effective January 1, 2012, for a two-year term, and shall automatically renew <br />thereafter on a year-to-year basis. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Consider approval or other action authorizingthe Mayor to sign and the City Secretary to attest <br />the Interlocal Agreement for Joint Elections. <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Steve Gillett, InterimCity ManagerDate <br /> <br />
