ARTICLE6:MEETINGS <br />Section6.1.RegularMeetings.RegularmeetingsoftheCommissionshallbeheldonthethirdThursday <br />ofeachmonthat6:00p.m.intheCityCouncilChambersatLaPorteCityHall(604W.FairmontParkway, <br />LaPorte,Texas,77571).ThedatesandtimesofCommissionmeetingsshallbedeterminedbyDecember <br />31ofeachcalendaryearandshallbenoticedinaccordancewiththeTexasOpenMeetingsAct.Whena <br />regularmeetingfallsonornearalegalholiday,theCommissionshallselectasuitablealternatedatewithin <br />thesamemonth.TheCommissionmaycancelameetingifthereisnobusinesstobeconducted. <br />Section6.2.MeetingNotices.AllmeetingnoticesshallbepostedatCityHallthroughthepostingofthe <br />agendainaccordancewiththeTexasOpenMeetingsActandshallbepostedinapublicplaceatCityHall <br />inalocationreadilyaccessibletothegeneralpublicandontheĭźƷǤ͸ƭwebsiteatleast72hoursbeforethe <br />meetingdate. <br />Section6.3.SpecialCalledMeetings.Theremaybeinstanceswhereaspecialcalledmeetingofthe <br />Commissionmaybenecessarytoconductbusiness.Aspecialcalledmeetingmaybecalledbythe <br />ChairmanortwomembersoftheCommissionuponwrittenrequest.Writtennoticeofthespecialcalled <br />meetingshallbesenttoCommissionmembersnotlessthan72hoursinadvanceofthemeeting.Notice <br />ofthespecialcalledmeetingshallbepostedinaccordancewithSection6.2,above. <br />Section6.4.CancellationofMeetings.AmeetingoftheCommissionmaybecancelledifthereareno <br />itemsofbusiness.Ifameetingiscancelled,noticeofthecancellationshallbepostedinapublicplaceat <br />CityHallinalocationreadilyaccessibletothegeneralpublicandontheĭźƷǤ͸ƭwebsite. <br />Section6.5.OpenMeetings.AllCommissionmeetingsanddeliberationsshallbeopentothepublicand <br />shallbeproperlynoticedinaccordancewiththeTexasOpenMeetingsActandSection6.2,above.The <br />CommissionmayconductclosedsessionsbutonlyasspecificallyallowedundertheTexasOpenMeetings <br />Actformeetingsinexecutivesession. <br />Section6.6.PublicRecords.Allmeetingrecordings,minutes,records,documents,correspondence,and <br />otherinformationoftheCommissionshallbeopentopublicinspectionandcopyinginaccordancewith <br />theTexasPublicInformationAct.RequestsforrecordsshallbemadethroughtheOfficeoftheCity <br />Secretary. <br />Section6.7.Minut ingoftheCommissionshallbepreparedbyCityStaff.The <br />es.Minutesofeachmeet <br />minutesshallcontainabriefsynopsisofthemeeting,completestatementoftheconditionsor <br />recommendationsmadeonanyaction,andarecordingofattendance.TheCommissionshallberequired <br />toapproveallminutes.TheChairmanandSeovedbythe <br />cretaryarerequiredtosignallminutesonceappr <br />Commission.TheofficialsignedminutesshallberecordedwiththeLaPorteCitySecretary. <br />Section6.8.Quorum.InorderfortheCommissiontoconductbusinessortakeanyofficialaction,a <br />quorumconsistingofatleastfive(5)membersoftheCommissionshallbepresent.Whenaquorumisnot <br />present,noofficialactionmaybemade. <br />4 <br />35 <br /> <br />
