The proposed zone change would allow for the development of a used car <br />dealership on the site. The property in question is located at the 3400 Block of Canada Rd. on the east side, <br />and is legally described as Reserve A, Block 1 Dawson Subdivision. <br />Mid-High Density Residential <br />order to accommodate the proposed zone change, the FLUP would need to be amended to show the property <br />Commercial. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their August 16, 2018 regular meeting, voted 6-0 to recommend <br />denial of the proposed Future Land Use Amendment. There were 8 concerned residents that spoke in <br />opposition of the proposed zone change. Most hand concerns regarding increased traffic and proximity to <br />residential homes and Pecan Park. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />1. Conduct public hearing. <br />2. Consider action on a recommendation by the Planning and Zoning Commission to deny an Ordinance <br />6.92 acre tract of land known as Reserve A, Block 1 Dawson <br />Subdivision, located at the 3400 Block of Canada Rd. on the east side, and as depicted in the attached <br />exhibit. <br /> <br />
