<br />REQUEST FOR CITY COUNCIL AGENDA ITEM <br /> <br />Appropriation <br />Agenda Date Requested: November 11, 2019 <br /> <br />Source of Funds: N/A <br />Requested By: Ron Parker, Police Chief <br /> <br />Department: Police <br />Account Number: N/A <br /> <br />Amount Budgeted: N/A <br />Report Resolution Ordinance <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Amount Requested: N/A <br /> <br />Exhibits: FY 2019 Chapter 59 Asset Forfeiture Report <br />Budgeted Item: Yes No <br /> <br />by Law enforcement Agency and Related <br /> <br />Financial Records Back Up <br /> <br /> <br />SUMMARY <br /> <br />Per Chapter 59 of the Texas Code <br />enforcement agencies and attorneys representing the state who receive proceeds or <br />property under this chapter shall account for the seizure, forfeiture, receipt, and specific <br />expenditure of all such proceeds in an audit, which is to be performed annually by the <br /> <br /> <br />In accordance with this requirement, a completed FY 2019 Chapter 59 Asset Forfeiture <br />Audit Report by Law Enforcement Agency is attached, along with a summary of the <br />fund balance, revenues and expenditures provided by the Finance Department, a <br />financial print out for all revenues and expenditures reported under the state seizure <br />project number (SZST) and copies of all expenditure receipts, for City Council review. <br /> <br /> <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION <br /> <br />I move the City Council accept the FY 2019 audit/asset forfeiture report and <br />associated financial records as required by Chapter 59 of the Texas Code of <br />Criminal Procedure. <br /> <br />Approved for the City Council meeting agenda <br /> <br /> <br />Corby D.
