At that time the applicant <br />indicated they intend to develop the property at some point in the future, but those plans <br />hadnot been confirmed. Portions of this property have previously been de-annexed in <br />1987 and 2005. <br />th <br />Since the June 8denial of de-annexation, Gas Innovations would like to again request <br />the City Council de-annex a portion of their property within the city limits. <br />th <br />Representatives from Gas Innovations were not present at the June 8City Council <br />th <br />meeting to be <br />available for any questions and provide feedback of any concerns addressed by <br />Council. The parcels the applicant is looking to de-annex are Harris County Appraisal <br />District #0642220000014 and #0642220000071. As mentioned previously this year, <br />these two properties are valued at $1,307,426 and $745,371,respectively.Thede- <br />annexation would costthe City $5,246.95 per yearin lost revenue.This is due to the <br />differencein revenue from the property being taxed at the City rate compared to the <br />IDA rate.Additionally, as a part of their 2005 de-annexation, Gas Innovationssigned <br />an Industrial District Water Service Agreement. <br />ACTION REQUIRED BY CITY COUNCIL <br />Consider, discuss and possibly approve tode-annex a tract of land containing 4.8635 <br />acres (211,856 square feet), situated in the Enoch Brinson League, Abstract 5, Harris <br />County, Texas, being a portion of a called 13.967 acre tract of land conveyed unto <br />Cr <br /> <br />
