Due to the <br />implementation of the sponsorship policy, staff is presenting this request to City Council <br />for consideration.This request was made by email from the Chair of the golf committee <br />and the Board Director late last month. <br />Due to the COVID-19 pandemic that began in spring of 2020the LPEF annual golf <br />tournament that was scheduled for April 29, 2020 had to be rescheduled for October 21, <br />th <br />2020. The LPEFreturn to hosttheir 17Annual Golf Tournament at Bay Forest Golf <br />Courseon April 28, 2021. This year, there will be three flights for the tournament. <br />In the previous fouryears,(2017-2019; 2021) the City has been the presenting sponsor <br />at a cost of $2,500 each year. City staff recommends approval of the $2,500 sponsorship <br />th <br />to the LPEF for their 17Annual Golf Tournament at Bay Forest Golf Course. <br />ACTION REQUIRED BY CITY COUNCIL <br />Approve or deny the request for a sponsorship tothe La Porte Education <br />Foundation annual golf tournament in the amount of $2,500 as the presenting <br />sponsorfor Fiscal Year 2022-2023. <br />Approved for the City Council meeting agenda <br />Corby D.
