<br /> <br />DISTRICT 6 .................POPULATION 5,581 (+5 %) <br />Councilperson Jerry Clarke .............903 South 3r`~ , La Porte, Texas <br />District 6 is made up of a portion of the old incorporated La Porte, Texas (1892) and a <br />section of Glen Meadows and all of central Fairmont Park and East Fairmont Park. This <br />design was to maintain and protect the residence of Councilperson Jerry Clark who was <br />elected to his seat on the City Council in May, 2001. The Glen Meadow and Fairmont <br />Park area was annexed by the City of La Porte on Nov.10, 1969, it is a predominately <br />residential area. A relatively new shopping center is located in District 6 as is the La <br />Porte City Hall, several schools, churches, city parks, doctors offices, dentist offices and <br />the local news paper office and a bank. <br />ETHNIC BREAKDOWN: <br />Hispanic White Black Asian Indian Islander Other <br />884 4,278 247 77 19 13 63 <br />
