Seek special funding for underprivileged residents <br />(particularly children) who may not have access to pools for programs <br />that would address need for swimming lessons in the bay. <br />6)Continue to expand sponsorships and investigate opportunities to <br /> <br />affiliate with other agencies (i.e., public/public or public/private <br />partnerships), special interest groups, service clubs, and the private <br />sector in organizing and operating special events, programs, and leagues. <br />7)Continue to work with youth sport associations to further develop <br /> <br />facilities for recreational activities including baseball, softball, basketball, <br />soccer, football, rugby, swimming, among others. <br />8)Continue to work with public and private sector groups (i.e., civic <br /> <br />associations, etc.) to promote the annual community activities such as <br />sports tournaments, festivals, outdoor concerts, fairs, and other special <br />events. <br />9) <br /> <br />community organizations to discuss opportunities for the improved <br />coordination and provision of services. <br /> —–—”‡ƒ†•‡ƒ†Šƒ”ƒ…–‡” <br />The essence of comprehensive planning is a recognition that La Porte does <br />not have to wait to react to development proposals.
