PlanningandZoningCommissionRegularMeeting <br />September25,2014 <br />Chapter106ProposedRevisions <br />PlanningandDevelopmentDepartment <br />StaffReport <br />ISSUE <br />Followingthepublichearing,shouldthePlanningandZoningCommissionconsider <br />recommendingapprovaltotheCityCounciltheproposedmodificationstoChapter106 <br />(Zoning)aspresentedintheattachedExhibitA? <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />StaffrecommendsthePlanningandZoningCommissionrecommendapprovaltothe <br />CityCounciloftheproposedmodificationstoChapter106(Zoning)aspresentedinthe <br />attachedExhibitA. <br />DISCUSSION <br />TheChapter106(Zoning)SubcommitteeispresentingtothePlanningandZoning <br />CommissiontheirproposedrecommendationsformodificationstotheĭźƷǤ͸ƭZoning <br />Ordinance.TheSubcommitteewasformedbythePlanningandZoningCommissionin <br />consistsofCommissionersMarkFollis(Chair),PhillipHoot,Richard <br />January2013,and <br />Warren,andLesBird.PlanningandDevelopmentDepartmentstaffsupportwas <br />providedtothegroup. <br />TheattachedExhibitAisthedraftversionofChapter106(Zoning)aspresentedbythe <br />Subcommittee.TheSubcommitteeispresentingthisdocumenttotheCommissionfor <br />discussionpurposesatthispointandtopresentthemajormodificationsbeing <br />proposed. <br />Section106171oftheĭźƷǤ͸ƭCodeofOrdinancesoutlinestheapplicablerequirements <br />fornotificationofapublichearing.Notificationwasprovidedinaccordancewith <br />applicablerequirements,includingnotificationofthepublichearingintheBayArea <br />Observer15dayspriortothescheduledpublichearing.Additionally,thepublichearing <br />waspostedatCityHallandontheĭźƷǤ͸ƭwebsite.Directnotificationofthehearingwas <br />alsomailedto160localrealestate,landplanning,anddevelopmentprofessionals. <br />Thefollowingincludesadescriptionofthemodificationsbeingproposed.Staff <br />attemptedtoprovideinthedescriptionwheretheproposedmodificationsoccurred(ie. <br />SectionorArticle)forreferencepurposes.Thetableatthebeginningofthestaffreport <br />1 <br /> <br />
