PlanningandZoningCommissionRegularMeeting <br />April21,2016 <br />Chapter106(Zoning)ProposedModifications <br />PlanningandDevelopmentDepartment <br />StaffReport <br />ISSUE <br />Followingthepublichearing,shouldthePlanningandZoningCommissionconsider <br />recommendingapprovaltotheCityCounciltheproposedmodificationstoChapter106 <br />(Zoning)aspresentedintheattachedExhibitA? <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />StaffrecommendsthePlanningandZoningCommissionrecommendapprovaltothe <br />CityCounciloftheproposedmodificationstoChapter106(Zoning)aspresentedinthe <br />attachedExhibitA. <br />DISCUSSION <br />Section10665oftheĭźƷǤ͸ƭCodeofOrdinancesindicatesthatthePlanningandZoning <br />CommissionistoconductaregularcomprehensivereviewofChapter106(Zoning). <br />Unfortunately,staffwasunabletoassistinlastǤĻğƩ͸ƭreviewofthischapterdueto <br />focusontherevisionstotheDevelopmentOrdinance.However,theChapter106 <br />(Zoning)SubcommitteedidgettogetherandispresentingtothePlanningandZoning <br />CommissiontheirproposedrecommendationsformodificationstotheĭźƷǤ͸ƭZoning <br />acomprehensive <br />Ordinance.Asyoumayrecall,theCityCouncilapprovedandadopted <br />reviewofChapter106(Zoning)inNovember2014.Thecurrentreviewwilladdresssome <br />modificationsthatmayhavebeenomittedorcorrectionstothosecomprehensive <br />modifications. <br />TheattachedExhibitAisthedraftversionoftheproposedmodificationstoChapter106 <br />(Zoning)aspresentedbytheSubcommittee.TheSubcommitteeispresentingthis <br />documenttotheCommissionfordiscussionpurposesatthispointandtopresentthe <br />majormodificationsbeingproposed. <br />Section106171oftheĭźƷǤ͸ƭCodeofOrdinancesoutlinestheapplicablerequirements <br />fornotificationofapublichearing.Notificationwasprovidedinaccordancewith <br />applicablerequirements,includingnotificationofthepublichearingintheBayArea <br />Observer15dayspriortothescheduledpublichearing.Additionally,thepublichearing <br />waspostedatCityHallandontheĭźƷǤ͸ƭwebsite. <br />1 <br /> <br />
