Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting <br />September 20, 2018 <br />SCUP 18-91000013 <br /> <br /> <br />Planning and Development Department <br />Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ISSUE <br /> <br />Should the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of a SCUP to allow <br />for a Hotel/Motel Use, to locate on a 3.7667 acre tract of land legally described as <br />Reserve B, Block 1, M&K Development Amend? <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Location: <br />The subject site is located at 1328 SH 146. <br /> <br />Background Information: <br />The property is currently undeveloped and zoned General Commercial (GC). The <br />applicant is interested in clearing the property to develop a new hotel. Current plans <br />call for a 4 story, 97 room Staybridge Suites hotel to occupy the eastern portion of the <br />property, roughly 1.9 acres in total. <br /> <br />The attached Exhibit B shows the zoning of the subject property and surrounding <br />properties.
