The continuing education hours must include the following: (1}1 hour in roadway vaf^ty� (2) 1 hour a Texas law and rules that regulate the conduct of towing operators; and (3)u hours i^ any topic listed m subsection &0. including a"wwuon (g)(1) and (g)(2). N For a timely renewal, the continuing education hours must have been completed within the term of the current license. For ^ late *mwal,the continuing education hours Must have been completed within the one-year period immediately prior to the date of renewal. (d)A licensee will not receive continuing education hours for attending the same course more than v^*^ (e) A licensee will receive continuing education hours for only those courses that are approved by the Department, Linder procedures prescribed by the Department. 0A licensee must retain m copy of the certificate of completion for a course for two years after the date of comp!erlon. In conducting any inspection or investigation ,/ the licensee, the Department may examine the licensee's records to determine compliance with this subsection. (g) To be approved by the Department under Chapter 59 of this title. a provider's course must be dedicated to instruct in one or more of the following top": (1) Texas law and rules mm regulate the conmmof towing operators (2) roadway safety; (3) driver safety� (4) towing techniques; (5) equipment operation and sawty�and (6) customer service and documentation.
