<br />The duties and responsibilities of the ARCHITECT during the Construction <br />Phase are amended and supplemented as indicated in Paragraph 6, Exhibit A <br />"Further Description of Basic Services and Related Matters". <br /> <br />1.7 Operational Phase <br /> <br />During the Operational Phase, ARCHITECT shall: <br /> <br />1.7.1 Transmit to the Owner and review in person with the OWNER the deliverable <br />items referred to in Section 1.6.10 and in the Operational Phase. <br /> <br />1.7.2 Define in Contract Documents the Contractor(s)'s responsibility in connection with <br />the start up, refining, and adjustment of any equipment or system. <br /> <br />1.7.3 Define in Contract Documents the Contractor(s)'s responsibility for training Owner <br />to operate and maintain any equipment or system and for reviewing pertinent manuals, <br />submittals, shop drawings, and warranties supplied by the Contractor(s). <br /> <br />1.7.4 Coordinate, attend and participate in the start up and training orientations as <br />required of the Contractor(s) in the Contract Documents. <br /> <br />1.7.5 Record Drawings. <br /> <br />ARCHITECT shall furnish the OWNER a set of marked up prints, drawings <br />and other data kept by the Contractor(s), and Project Representative (if employed by <br />the ARCHITECT) in a form and manner that clearly depicts significant changes made <br />during the construction process. <br /> <br />1.7.6 At a time eleven (11) months following Substantial Completion of the project (one <br />month prior to expiration of the Contractor's warranty period), the ARCHITECT, in the <br />company of the OWNER, will visit the project to observe any apparent deficiencies in <br />the completed construction, and document any items observed in a written report issued <br />to the CONTRACTOR and OWNER. <br /> <br />1.7.7 During the Operational Phase, the ARCHITECT will assist the OWNER in <br />consultations and discussions with CONTRACTOR concerning the correction of <br />deficiencies brought to the ARCHITECT's attention, and when appropriate, review or <br />make written recommendations regarding replacement or correction of the Work as <br />proposed by the Contractor. <br /> <br />END OF SECTION 1 <br /> <br />1-8 <br />
