The City received bids from six (6) vendors. The low bid was submitted by Paskey, <br />Inc. in the amount of $624,93332. The project consists of installation of a 6' X 4' Box Culvert Storm <br />Sewer Outfall along Oakhurst from Broadway to Galveston Bay and a 36 -inch Storm Sewer along <br />Westview to Oakhurst and associated utilit_T and pavement reconstruction. <br />Staff recommends awarding the contract in the amount of $624,93332 to the low bidder, Paskev, Inc. <br />Staff also recommends authorizing a 5% contingency equal to $31,246.67 for a total authorized amount <br />requested of $656,179.99. <br />This project is being funded through a Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) administered by <br />the Texas General Land Office (formally administered by the Texas Department of Rural Affairs). <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Authorize the City Manager to enter into contract with Paskev, Inc. in the amount of $624,93332 and <br />further authorizing a 5% contingency of $31,246.67 for a total amount of $656,179.99 for construction of <br />the Oakhurst Drainage Improvements. <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Ron Bottoms, City Manager Date <br />
