now starting the process to add manual switches at Lift Station Nos. 9, 14, 33, and 39 in a second <br />phase. By the end of 2012, staff anticipates generators or manual switches at 23 of the top 25 public <br />works priority facilities for emergency power. <br />A generator for Baker Junior High was included in the initial project design but was finally <br />determined by the state to be ineligible for grant finding because the facility is not proposed to be <br />classified as a primary shelter for our citizens in the Emergency Management shelter plan. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Consider awarding a contract to C.F. McDonald in the amount of $612,469, which includes a <br />$20,000 contingency for the installation of switches to supply emergency power at the booster <br />station, three water wells, and five lift stations and installation of gas generators at three lift stations. <br />Approved for City Council Agenda <br />Ron Bottoms, City Manager <br />Date <br />
