Application for a permit under this article shall be made with the city secretary. Such application shall <br />contain the name of the applicant, address of the applicant, the geophysical methods of mineral <br />exploration to be used, the purpose therefor, the location and use with a map attached designating the <br />points of use. Such application shallbe accompanied by a permit fee in an amount established by the city <br />and listed in appendix A of this Code. On receipt of such application by the city secretary, the application <br />shall be referred to the city manager for a report as to the compliance of such application with the <br />provisions of this article. Such report and the application shall then be submitted to the city council. No <br />permit shall be issued except by the approval of the city council. <br />(Ord. No. 1659-A, § 1(16-28(2)), 1-8-90) <br /> <br />Sec. 102-53. - Insurance and bond requirements. <br />(a)On approval of the permit, but before the issuance of the permit, the applicant shall provide the city <br />secretary with an insurance certificate showing insurance coverage of the applicant for general <br />liability coverage in amounts not less than: <br />(1)Bodily injuries: $1,000,000.00 per person and $3,000,000.00 per accident; and <br />(2)Property damage: $1,000,000.00. <br />(b)Such insurance coverage shall be provided by a good and solvent insurance company authorized to <br />do businessin the state. In addition, the applicant shall provide a cash bond in the amount of <br />$5,000.00. Such cash bond shall be for the benefit of the city and all persons concerned, conditioned <br />that the permittee will comply with the terms and conditions of this article. The bond shall become <br />effective on or before the date the bond is filed with the city secretary and remain in force and effect <br />and on deposit for at least a period of six months after the exploration ends. <br />(Ord. No. 1659, § 1(16-28(3)), 8-14-89) <br /> <br />Sec. 102-54. - Duration. <br />All permits issued under this article shall expire 60 days from the date of its issuance. <br />(Ord.
