Also, the Crime Victim Liaison was able to assist needed victims with crime victim compensation <br />Program in 2002, over four hundred eighty-one thousand dollars <br /> <br />A <br />submit application for a two-year continuation grant for the Crime Victim Liaison position. The Grant request <br />will be for the maximum allowable amount of forty-two thousand dollars ($42,000) each year. Assuming that the <br />full amount of the request is awarded, the City will be mandated to continue to support the program by absorbing <br />approximately forty-seven thousand dollars ($47,000) each year in its personnel operating budget to cover this <br />position. If approved the new grant would run from September 1, 2019, through August 31, 2020, encompassing <br />. <br />Action Required by Council: <br />Authorize the City Manager and the La Porte Police Department to submit an application for the Victim <br />Coordinator and Liaison Grant (VCLG) for fiscal years 2019 and 2020 in order to continue partial funding for the <br />Crime Victim Liaison position, and adopt Resolution 2019-06 in support of same. <br /> <br />
