The subject property is located at the northwest corner of Fairmont Parkway <br />and Canada Road, and is legally described as Tracts 710A and 711, La Porte Outlots. <br />The property is currently undeveloped. The applicant, along with the owner of the <br />property, would like to change the zoning to PUD with a Special Conditional Use Permit <br />(SCUP), to allow for the construction of a 294 -unit multi -family development on the <br />12.608 -acre tract of land. The proposed development will consist of one main <br />residential structure along with an attached two-story parking garage and additional <br />surface parking and garage structures. <br />Staff mailed public notice to all property owners located within 200 feet of the subject <br />property and did not receive any returned comment sheets for the proposed zone <br />change. <br />The Planning and Zoning Commission, at their August 15, 2019, regular meeting, voted <br />8-0 to recommend approval of the proposed Zone Change. <br />RECOMMENDED MOTION <br />
