Though this Sponsorship application was not submitted in a timely manner, the City of <br />La Porte has typically been supportive of events at the San Jacinto Museum. In <br />anticipation of the City sponsoring the event, the Museum has already add <br />logo to many of the advertising documents and has the t-shirts and banners set to print <br />fact that the City has supported the Museum in the past, City staff recommends <br />approving the sponsorship request. <br /> <br />However, if Council wishes to not approve this request due to timeliness of the <br />application, City staff would recommend Council allowing staff to work with the <br />organization to provide other options for financial assistance this year. If this is the <br />direction Council prefers, staff would bring this new sponsorship proposal back to the <br />Council in a more timely manner for discussion and possible approval. <br /> <br />Celebrating 185 Years <br />21, 2021 at the River Oaks Country Club. Proceeds from this dinner will go to support <br />the operations of the San Jacinto Museum. Staff has provided the brochure for this <br />event within the agenda packet.
