Planning and Zoning Commission Regular Meeting <br />January 18, 2018 <br />Zone Change 18-92000002 <br /> <br /> <br />Planning and Development Department <br />Staff Report <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ISSUE <br /> <br />Should the Planning and Zoning Commission recommend approval of a change in zoning <br />from High Density Residential (R-3) to Low Density Residential (R-1) zoning district; on <br />approximately 34,217 square foot tract of land located at 330 Bayside Dr. and legally <br />described as Lots 8-10 & S. ½ of Lot 7, Block 1, Bayside Terrace Subdivision? <br /> <br />DISCUSSION <br /> <br />Location: <br />The subject site is located at 330 Bayside Dr., east of S. Broadway. The site is currently <br />undeveloped. <br /> <br />Background Information: <br />The property is currently undeveloped and was previously occupied by a small <br />apartment complex. The complex was closed and demolished by the city. The city <br />would now like to change the zoning of the property from R-3 to R-1 in order to fit with <br />the adjacent single family development to the east and south. <br /> <br />The attached Exhibit B shows the zoning of the subject property and surrounding <br />properties.
