GLOBAL AGRi-"rRADE <br />( D I P 0 K A � I U 4 <br />City of La Porte <br />Planning and Development Department <br />604 West Fairmont Parkway <br />La Porte, TX 77571 <br />JanuaLy_10th, 2022, <br />Dear Members of the Planning and Development Commission, <br />RE: New Purpose -Built Warehouse on Fairmont Parkway, La Porte <br />Global Agri -Trade is a 16-year-old privately owned company, that provides RSPCA Certified <br />Sustainable edible oil -based shortenings and fats to the US food manufacturing and dairy <br />industries. <br />We supply high quality, consistent oils, and fats for bakery applications from breads and <br />biscuits to cakes, pies and donuts. Our Shortenings are naturally non-GMO, as well as <br />Trans Fat and Cholesterol Free, making our products a natural and healthy choice when <br />it comes to baking fats for production. Global Agri -Trade also supplies high quality, <br />premium animal nutrition ingredients and energy supplements. We have grown to <br />become one of largest importers of these products in the country. <br />Founded in Los Angeles, California in 2006, we service our customers nationwide with <br />warehouse storage and distribution facilities in Baltimore, Buffalo, Chicago, Houston, Los <br />Angeles, Oakland, Norfolk, Savannah, and Seattle/Tacoma. <br />Given the increasing demand for our products by Texas based manufacturers, <br />distributors, and farmers, we have augmented our business model to service them <br />through the Port of Houston, where have been working with local public warehouses, It <br />is our view that the time is right to invest in the long term in this market and one way to <br />do so is to operate our own facility and hire our own people, to provide high levels of <br />customer service and maintain exceptional quality standards,. We expect to make 10 — 1S <br />new hires from the local community to operate this facility.
