This strongly affects the welfare and behaviors of the residents and the <br />ability to promote quality adoptions. As architects, we believe that the "built <br />environment' has a significant influence on the attitude and behavior of both people and <br />animals. Progress made by the animal sheltering community in controlling the pet <br />population has allowed many animal shelters to shift their emphasis from animal control <br />to animal advocacy. <br />1� <br />0 <br />
