An annual auction may be held, in cooperation with other entities, to dispose of <br />surplus or obsolete City property including vehicles, equipment, office furniture and <br />equipment, or any other item that is declared to be of no further use to the City. <br /> <br />2. Each Department Director shall review their department's assets each year and <br />determine if any item should be sold through auction. This review and subsequent <br />sale shall follow policies and 'procedures set forth in the City's Fixed Asset Manual. <br /> <br />3. During the course of this review, a Department Director may order any item(s) found <br />to have no use or value to be destroyed and discarded. No item(s) shall be <br />discarded in a usable manner and no one (employee or otherwise) shall be allowed <br />to remove such items from City property. <br /> <br />SECTION 2 - EMPLOYEE ELlGIBILllY <br /> <br />1 . All City employees are eligi~le to bid on miscellaneous items during the auction. <br /> <br />2. All City employees are eligible to bid on vehicles and motorized equipment during the <br />auction with the following exceptions: City Manager, Assistant City Manager, <br />Director of Public Works, Assistant Director of Public Works, and Equipment Services <br />Superintendent. <br /> <br />3. All City employees are eligible to bid on computer software and/or hardware with the <br />,following exceptions: City Manager, Assistant City Manager, Director of <br />Administrative Services, MIS Manager, and Computer Support Specialists. <br /> <br />25 <br />
