DISCUSS AWARDING CONTRACT FOR UNIFORM SERVICE - <br />Commissioner Christensen read the following quotations <br />from uniform service rental companies: <br />Admiral Linen Service <br />2015 Kipling <br />Houston, Texas 77006 $4.15 Weekly <br />Uniform & Towel Service, Inc. <br />1649 Procter <br />Port Arthur, Texas $4.25 Weekly <br />9 <br />Ineeda Linen Service <br />3520 Center Street <br />Houston, Texas 77007 $4.25 Weekly <br />Majestic Uniform & Towel Co. <br />1619 Ovid <br />Houston, Texas 77007 $4.50 Weekly <br />Texas Industrial $4.40 Weekly <br />• The contract is currently with Admiral and there <br />have been no problems. Motion by Commissioner Christensen, <br />seconded by Commissioner Kibodeaux that the contract for <br />Uniform Rental Service be awarded to Admiral Linen Service <br />for the next 24 months at a weekly rate of $4.15. Motion <br />carried by the following vote: <br />AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />+ + + <br />9. ORDINANCE N0. 780-V - AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE <br />NO. 780, THE CITY OF LA PORTE ZONING ORDINANCE, BY <br />CHANGING THE CLASSIFICATION OF THAT CERTAIN PARCEL OF <br />LAND HEREIN DESCRIBED; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE <br />HEREOF - After the ordinance was read in full, motion <br />by Commissioner Kibodeaux, seconded by Commissioner <br />Price to adopt Ordinance No. 780-V as read. A copy <br />of said described land is attached and made a part of <br />these minutes. Motion carried by the following vote: <br />• AYES: Commissioners Christensen, Kibodeaux, <br />Price, and Boyle. <br />NAYS: None. <br />
