Box 115 <br />La Porte, Texas 77571 <br />Dear Mayor Thomas: <br />• Under Section 11.458 of the Texas Water Code, the Texas Water <br />Development Board is required to consider and approve or dis- <br />approve plans for projects that result in alteration of a flood <br />plain. It is agency policy to inform responsible local official <br />when such projects in their area are scheduled to be considered <br />by the Board. <br />In this regard, Chemlime Corporation of the City of La Porte <br />has submitted an application (copy enclosed) to the Water <br />Development Board for approval of a proposed levee project. The <br />Corporation proposes to construct the levee within the corporate <br />boundary of the City. <br />s <br />The application for the project is tentatively scheduled to be <br />considered by the Board at its meet?r_g on August_19, 1975. Any <br />comments or questions that you and/a?~ other officials of the City <br />of La Porte might have regarding the project should be directed <br />• <br />
