Box 1118 LaPorte, Texas 77571 Re: Block 48, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas Dear Mr. Glosserman: This will acknowledge receipt of your letter to the City of La Porte, dated May 10, 1976, concerning your requestto install a security type perimeter fence around Block 48, Town of La Porte. This block encompasses a T-alley. The City Commission of the City of La Porte has approved the erection and maintenance of such a security fence, on the following conditions, to -wit: (1) Gates shall be installed in the fence at the alleys. If the gates are locked, the City Police Dispatcher shall be furnished with a 24-hour telephone number of a repre- sentative of your firm, who would be available immediately upon notice, to un- lock the gates for entrance by City of La Porte emergency vehicles, or by utility company emergency vehicles. (2) The City of La Porte will require that Jay Marks Chevrolet furnish to it, a letter from each utility company holding a franchise from the City of La Porte, stating that such utility company has "no objection" to this procedure. • (3) The City of La Porte will expect Jay Marks Chevrolet to keep and maintain the premises in a neat and orderly condition. All City ordinances are to be observed. It is our understanding that the premises will be used for a vehicle storage yard, but not as a junk yard. This letter does not consti- tute authority to use the premises for a junk yard.
