Box 1118 <br />LaPorte, Texas 77571 <br />Re: Block 48, Town of La Porte, Harris County, Texas <br />Dear Mr. Glosserman: <br />This will acknowledge receipt of your letter to the City of <br />La Porte, dated May 10, 1976, concerning your requestto install <br />a security type perimeter fence around Block 48, Town of La Porte. <br />This block encompasses a T-alley. <br />The City Commission of the City of La Porte has approved the <br />erection and maintenance of such a security fence, on the <br />following conditions, to -wit: <br />(1) Gates shall be installed in the fence at <br />the alleys. If the gates are locked, the <br />City Police Dispatcher shall be furnished <br />with a 24-hour telephone number of a repre- <br />sentative of your firm, who would be <br />available immediately upon notice, to un- <br />lock the gates for entrance by City of <br />La Porte emergency vehicles, or by utility <br />company emergency vehicles. <br />(2) The City of La Porte will require that <br />Jay Marks Chevrolet furnish to it, a <br />letter from each utility company holding <br />a franchise from the City of La Porte, <br />stating that such utility company has <br />"no objection" to this procedure. <br />• (3) The City of La Porte will expect Jay Marks <br />Chevrolet to keep and maintain the premises <br />in a neat and orderly condition. All City <br />ordinances are to be observed. It is our <br />understanding that the premises will be <br />used for a vehicle storage yard, but not as <br />a junk yard. This letter does not consti- <br />tute authority to use the premises for a <br />junk yard. <br />
