TEXAS 77571
Mr. Floyd H. Myers
Land & Right of Way Department
Houston Lighting & Power Company
P. O. Box 1700
Houston, Texas 77001
Dear Mr. Myers:
This letter is in response to your letter of October 1, 1976, to
Southern Pacific Railroad concerning relocation of your towers
near the proposed Spencer Highway Overpass Project in the City of
La Porte. Your estimated cost of $19,500.00 covers the relocations
previously shown on your drawings that will be necessary for
construction of the Overpass.
This letter is to extend a commitment from the City of La Porte to
reimburse Houston Lighting & Power Company 100 percent of your
adjustment costs.
The start of construction was postponed due to the recent HL&P
strike and now that a settlement has been reached, the City is
most anxious to start construction. Please proceed with the
relocations at your earliest convenience so as not to delay the
construction of the grade separation.
If you have questions, please do not hesitate to contact us. We
certainly appreciate your cooperation in this matter.
Very truly yours,
CITY OF LA PORTE
By
J. J. Meza, ayor
JJM:mg
