TEXAS 77571 <br />PHONE 471-5819 <br />August 23. 1977 <br />The Mayor & City Commissioners <br />LaPorte, Texas 77571 <br />Sirs: <br />We are experiencing problems with the parking of <br />commercial vehicles on streets in the Fairmont Park Sub- <br />division. Two specific examples are: <br />(1) A dump truck on Parkmont <br /> <br />{2) A heavy truck with welding rig at the inter- <br />section of Roseberry and Winding Trail. <br />A City Ordinance prohibiting the parking of commercial <br />vehicles in residential subdivisions would certainly <br />alleviate this problem. Many cities surrounding this <br />area have similar ordinances. <br />Consideration also needs to be given to completing <br />the west side of Farrington Blvd. If this work is not <br />accomplished, then there at least needs to be a barrier <br />at each end so people not familiar with Farrington will <br />not run off the ends at night-time. <br />I would appreciate it if the City Council could take <br />some action on these items. <br />Sincerely, <br />Jeffrey R.
