A letter from Neighborhood Centers expressing appreciation <br /> for the donation of $3,000.00 for the program in La Porte. <br /> A copy of said letter is attached and made a part of these <br /> minutes. <br /> C. A letter from Jack Campbell, Mayor of the City of Seabrook, <br /> requesting consideration of a resolution supporting Senate Bill <br /> 381. A copy of said letter is attached. <br /> D. A letter from Community Development Agency with completed <br /> copy of the FY-78 Cooperation Agreement with Harris County. <br /> Both are attached and made a part of these minutes. <br /> + + + <br /> 20. DISCUSSION OF DEPARTMENT PROJECTS - A. Mayor Meza informed <br /> the Commission that the City had appeared before the Subsidence <br />. District and had proposed to increase the water withdrawal <br /> for 1978 to 600,000,000 gallons, which would be an increase <br /> of 100,000,000 gallons. It will be from three to five years <br /> before surface water will be available. Reports to the Harris- <br /> Galveston Coastal Subsidence District are attached and made a <br /> part of these minutes. <br /> B. Commissioner Simons requested an executive session. <br /> C. ENGINEER's REPORT - Dave Corbin gave a status report of <br /> La Porte's PL 92-500 Construction Grant; and that there would <br /> be a public hearing in Austin in January to consider proposed <br /> rule changes to the Municipal Facilities Construction Grant <br /> Priority Rating Process.
