• • <br />• <br />RESOLUTION NO. <br />WHEREAS, the massive population growth of Harris County <br />has placed a substantial strain on County roads, flood control, <br />parks and public service facilities; and <br />WHEREAS, Harris County Commissioners Court has called a <br />Capital Improvements bond election to be held May 22, 1979; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the road and bridge, park, public service facility, <br />flood control and Port of Houston bonds are vital to the con- <br />tinued prosperity of all Harris County residents whether they <br />reside in unincorporated areas or within municipalities; and <br />WHEREAS, civic leaders, community groups and concerned <br />citizens have been and will continue to be involved in the <br />planning and completion of all County bond improvements; and <br />WHEREAS, voter approval of all of the County bond proposi- <br />tions will not require an increase in the present County tax <br />• rate. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMP•ZISSION <br />OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE <br />THAT the La Porte City Commission hereby endorses all of <br />the propositions for Harris County Capital Improvements listed <br />on the May 22, 1979, ballot; and be it further resolved that <br />all registered voters are urged to exercise their Constitutional <br />right and responsibility to vote in this very important election <br />on Play 22, 1979. <br />PASSED AND APPROVED, this day of , 1979. <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />By <br />J.
