<br />• <br />• <br />• <br />CHAPTER 11 <br />NONDISCIPLINARY SEPARATION <br />Section 1. Resignation <br /> <br />An employee may leave the City service in good standing by <br />submitting his or her resignation in writing at least 14 working <br />days in advance. The City Administrator may waive any portion <br />of the notice period. <br />Section 2. Incapacity <br />Employees may be separated from City service because of <br />incapacity for medical reasons when the employee no longer meets <br />the standards of fitness required for the position and/or the <br />employee cannot return to work within thirty calendar days fol- <br />lowing the use of all accrued sick leave benefits. <br />Separation for incapacity shall not be considered disciplinary <br />action and shall not operate to deny an employee the use of any <br />accrued illness, injury, disabiltiy, or other benefits. <br />26 <br />
