<br />SALARY COMPENSATION PLAN <br />• PAGE 3 <br />MAINTENANCE OF PLAN <br />Periodic reviews of pay rates are necessary to maintain a current <br />and viable compensation plan, for classification actions and chang- <br />ing labor market conditions require systematic attention to compen- <br />sation. The. Personnel Department shall conduct annual surveys of <br />• public and private employers to update the City's compensation data. <br />These surveys shall be in conjunction with the budget process as to <br />provide the Council with information on which to base their appro- <br />priations for personnel services. <br />COST OF IMPLEMENTATION <br />The cost of implementing the Salary Compensation Plan in the General <br />Fund and Water and Wastewater Fund are as follows: <br />.GENERAL FUND <br />Cost of Implementation $245,479.00 <br />• Less Amount Allocated for COL 240,369.00 <br />DEFICIT -$ 5,110.00 <br />WATER & WASTEWATER FUND <br />Cost of Implementation $ 54,660.00 <br />Less Amount Allocated for COI; 35,674.00 <br />DEFICIT -$ 18,986.00 <br />TOTAL DEFICIT -$ 24,096.00 <br />It is recommended that the deficit of $24,096.00 be made up from the <br />contingencies of each respective fund. <br />• <br />
