<br />This letter will be my request, as owner, to change the
<br />following described properties in La Porte from commercial
<br />to industrial: Lots 9, 10, and 13 through 24, Block 327,
<br />Town of La Porte.
<br />
<br />The proposed use of the property is for a truck terminal.
<br />Lots 17 through 24 are to be topped with Mac-A-Doo and
<br />nfenced immediately. Lots 9, 10 and 13 through 16 will be
<br />held in reserve for future use.
<br />
<br />.
<br />
<br />The purchaser and user of the property is Overland Express
<br />Company, Inc. of Harris County, Texas. The company has a
<br />need for the property because of long lines of trucks at
<br />the Barbour's Cut entry terminal, thus creating loss of
<br />time pertaining to trucks, equipment and people. This
<br />property will be used as a temporary depot so that when
<br />there is less traffic at the Cut, one truck could shuttle
<br />all the containers to the entry gate.
