The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br /> <br />accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte Planning and <br /> <br />Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification of the herein- <br /> <br />after described parcel of land, situated within the corporate <br /> <br />I imi ts of the City of La Porte, is hereby changed in accordance <br />therewi th, and the zoning classif ication of said parcel of land <br /> <br />shall hereafter be "Industrial," with a special use permit under <br /> <br />the provisions of Ordinance 780-XX, with the permissible use of <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />said property strictly limited to an asphal t batch plant. The <br /> <br />description of said parcel of land re-zoned is as follows, to-wit: <br /> <br />That certain 346.52' x 240' tract of <br />land, out of the Richard Pearsall <br />Survey, A-625, owned by Brown & Root, <br />Inc., and shown as the shaded area on <br />Exhibit "D", attached hereto, incor- <br />porated by reference herein, and made <br />a part hereof for all purposes. <br /> <br />Section 5. All ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed, <br /> <br />to the extent of conflict only. <br /> <br />Section 6. The Ci ty Council officially finds, determines, <br /> <br />reci tes and declares that a sufficient wri tten notice of the <br /> <br />date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City Council <br />was posted at a place convenient to the public at the City Hall <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />of the City for the time required by law preceding this meeting, <br />as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article 6252-17, Texas <br /> <br />Revised Civil Statutes Annotated; and that this meeting has been <br /> <br />open to the public as required by law at all times during which <br /> <br />this ordinance and the subject matter thereof has been discussed, <br /> <br />cons ide red and formally acted upon. <br /> <br />The City Council further <br /> <br />ratifies, approves and confirms such written notice and the <br /> <br />contents and posting thereof. <br /> <br />e <br />
