<br /> <br /> <br />ORDINANCE N0. 1144A <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE LA PORTE FIRE CODE, ORDINANCE NO. <br />1144, BY AMENDING ARTICLE 36, FIRE CODE REVIEW COMMITTEE; <br />FINDING COMPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; AND PROVIDING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF. <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. Article 36: Fire Code Review Committee of <br />the La Porte Fire Code, Ordinance No. 1144 of the Ordinances <br />of the City of La Porte, Texas, is hereby amended and here- <br />after shall read as follows: <br />"Article 36: Fire Code Review Committee <br />• "Division l: General <br />"Section 36-1 Fire Code review board established; composition; <br />---- ---- <br />appointment; term; meetings; duties of board; <br />quorum constituted; filling of vacancies. <br />"There is hereby established a fire code review board <br />which shall consist of fifteen (15) members. Such members shall <br />be appointed by the mayor, with the approval of the city council <br />and shall be composed of the following: <br />"(a) Position 1 by the fire marshal of the City of La Porte <br />or his duly authorized representative. <br />"(b) Position 2 by the fire chief of the City of La Porte <br />or his duly authorized representative. <br />..(c) <br />City of La <br />..(d) <br />City of La <br />..(e) <br />or his dul~ <br />man. <br />Position <br />Porte or <br />Position <br />Porte or <br />Position <br />~ authori <br />3 by the director of public works of the <br />his duly authorized representative. <br />4 by the chief building inspector of the <br />his duly authorized representative. <br />5 by the city manager of the City of La Porte <br />zed representative, who shall be the chair- <br />"(f) Positions 6 through 15, both inclusive, shall be <br />filled by ten (10) registered voters who are residents of the <br />City of La Porte. <br />
