• • <br />CITY OF LA PORTE <br />• INTER-OFFICE MEMORANDUM <br />T0: Mayor and City Council DATE• October 28, 1981 <br />FROM: John Joerns, Engineering Dept~t <br />SUBJECT: EPA Project: Contract III, Li Station - Change Order ~~3 <br />The City's consulting Engineer, Busch-Hutchison & Associates, has <br />.prepared change order ~~3 which consists of the following items: <br />1) Installation of 10" Gate Valve in discharge side of new pump <br />installation at Fairmont Parkway. $1,349.00 <br />Note: The valve installation is necessary <br />the force main installation without having <br />out of operation for an extended period of <br />consequently risking a large bypass. The <br />valve shown on the old Fairmont Park plans <br />and therefore, can't be used as originally <br />to complete <br />the plant <br />time and <br />10" gate <br />does not exist <br />intended. <br />• 2) Installation of 6-Air Release Valves (one for each pump) <br />at both lift stations. These are recommended items on <br />all large lift station operations. The air release valves; <br />however, were not included in the lift station equipment <br />and need to be added by change order. Estimate includes <br />miscellaneous piping. $3,000.00 <br />$4,349.00 <br />Both items are Grant eligible and 75% of the costs will be paid <br />for by EPA upon their approval.
