David is quite concerned, and donations are coming in pretty good. I want to congratulate you on that brochure for the residents. Gay: I have no comments except to thank the citizens for coming out tonight. Skelton: I'm happy that the holidays are over and maybe we can get back down to our regular work habits. T am looking forward to a happy and prosperous new year that will be good for all of the City. In my short time in office, I have noticed a real spirit of cooperation among the individuals within the depart- ments; it seem to me we really have a professional team in all departments. I thank all those who are doing a fine job. Westergren: T do appreciate the efforts being put forth for Leta and Cecil. Meza: Jerry has a new employee he would like to introduce to Council. • Jerry Hodge introduced Jackson Ray, the new Purchasing Agent. Mayor Meza introduced Carey Burnely, one of the appointees to the Board of the Water Authority. Mayor Meza requested an Executive Session for a personnel item. 12. The Council adjourned into Executive Session at 8:45 P.M. Council returned to the Council table at 9:43 P.M. Council agreed to pay lodging expenses for the employees traveling to Temple to inspect software for computer. Council set some goals for 1982 to be reviewed with the new City Manager after he has been in office for awhile. 13. Motion was made by Councilperson Skelton to adjourn the meetin .
