The City Council of the City of La Porte hereby <br />accepts the recommendation of the City of La Porte Planning and <br />Zoning Commission, and the zoning classification of the herein- <br />after described parcel of land, situated within the corporate <br />limits of the City of La Porte, is hereby changed in accordance <br />therewith, and the zoning classification of said parcel of land <br />shall hereafter be "Light Industrial," with a special use permit, <br />strictly limited to materials warehousing, railroad and truck <br />line shipment and receiving terminal (but not including oceanic <br />shipping container storage or repair). The description of said <br />parcel of land re-zoned is as follows, to-wit: <br />The tract of land commences for its northwest <br />corner at a point 420 feet south of the north <br />line of the McKinstry Survey on the west side <br />of the Southern Pacific Railroad right=of-way; <br />thence N 86° 59' 35" E approximately 915.29 <br />feet to a point on the western boundary of <br />16th Street for its northeastern corner; <br />thence south along the western boundary of <br />said 16th Street approximately 936 feet to <br />its intersection with the northern boundary <br />of a .8188-acre easement approximately 140 <br />feet south from the northern boundary of <br />formerly dedicated Block 1238 for the south- <br />eastern corner of said tract; thence South <br />86° 59' 35" West approximately 592 feet to <br />the eastern boundary of the G. B. McKinstry <br />Survey; thence N 02° 23' 35" W approximately <br />336 feet to a point on the northern boundary <br />of formerly dedicated West R Street, marking <br />the northeast corner of a 2.50-acre Humble <br />Drill Site; thence S 63° 05' 09" W approx- <br />imately 349.68 feet to a point on the <br />eastern perimeter of the Southern Pacific <br />Railroad right-of-way; thence north along <br />said SPRR right-of-way N 02° 58' 09" W <br />approximately 857.90 feet to the Place of <br />Beginning, as more particularly shown on <br />Exhibit "D" attached hereto, incorporated <br />by reference herein, and made a part hereof <br />for all purposes. <br />Section 5. All ordinances in conflict herewith are repealed, <br />to the extent of conflict only. <br />Section 6. This Ordinance shall be in effect from and after <br />its passage and approval. <br />-~ <br />
