It has been determined that the cost to repair <br />the truck is prohibitive. Because of the accident, the conversion to the <br />frontload system was escalated, and conversion has been completed. <br />The City of Seabrook's commercial Solid~raste Department uses the sideload <br />system. The truck used is the same year and model as the vehicle involved <br />in the accident. Seabrook has expressed ar. interest in buying the truck to <br />use for spare parts. <br />The Public Works Department feels that the truck is worth approximately <br />FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00). I recommend that the City of La Porte <br />offer the truck 'to the City of Seabrook or an inter-governmental basis for <br />FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($5,000.00). <br />I.f you should have any questions, please advise. <br />JLH/lw <br />t <br />
