AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE N0. 1285-A, "AN ORDINANCE IMPLE- <br />MENTING POLICEMEN'S CIVIL SERVICE; ESTABLISHING CLASSIFICATIONS; <br />NU•iBER OF AUTHORIZED POSITIONS IN EACH CLASSIFICATION; ESTABLISH- <br />ING PAY SCHEDULES; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; FINDING <br />CO.iPLIANCE WITH THE OPEN MEETINGS LAW; CONTAINING A REPEALING <br />CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE HEREOF." <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LA PORTE: <br />Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance 1285-A is hereby amended <br />and shall hereafter read as follows, to-wit: <br />"Section 4. It is the intention of the City Council of the <br />City of La Porte that each employee of the City of La Porte <br />Police Department shall have received a ten per cent (10%) cost <br />of living pay raise in addition to the above pay schedules, eff- <br />ective October 1, 1982, for the ensuing fiscal year. <br />Section 3. Except as hereby amended, Ordinance No. 1285-A <br />shall remain in full force and effect. <br />Section 4. The City Council officially finds, determines, <br />and recites and declares that a sufficient written notice of <br />the date, hour, place and subject of this meeting of the City <br />Council was posted at a place convenient to the public at the <br />• City Hall of the City for the time required by law preceding <br />this meeting, as required by the Open Meetings Law, Article <br />• <br /> <br />
